What are Group Challenges?

These Challenges allow you to create a friendly competition with your friends, tracking progress and performance within the Waterspeed app. Whether you're aiming to go for the longest distance, hit the fastest speed, or log the most sessions, the Challenges bring an extra layer of motivation to your watersports experience. 

How to create a new Challenge

1. Open Waterspeed and navigate to the Challenges tab

2. Tap on + or on the box in the middle to create a new Challenge

3. Set your challenge parameters:

   • Challenge Type (Distance, Speed, Sessions, Time, etc.)

   • Duration (Choose a Start and an End date)

   • Participants (Invite friends sharing a link)

4. Review your settings, accept the Terms, and tap Start Challenge

How to Join a Challenge

• If you’ve received an invite, simply tap the link. 

• Accept the challenge and start logging activities to compete!

Manual upload of data

• from the menu inside the challenge, you can define if you want an automatic upload of all your activities eligible for the challenge, or you prefer a manual submission

Notifications

• from the menu inside the challenge, you can define if to receive notifications of new activities from other users or not

Tracking Your Progress

• Visit the Challenge leaderboard to see real-time updates.

• Compare stats with your friends and check your position in the rankings.

• Notification with updates will be automatically generated so you don’t miss a beat. 

Challenge Completion & Winners

• The challenge ends automatically when the set duration expires.

• The leaderboard will display the final rankings, highlighting the top performer(s).

• Participants can share their results on social media or within the app’s community.

FAQs

Q: Can I edit a challenge after it starts?
A: No, once a Challenge has started, settings cannot be changed. Be sure to finalize the details before launching.

Q: Who manages the challenge once it’s created?
A: The user who created the challenge is the moderator of the challenge and will receive extra rights to keep the game clean and fair.

Q: Do all activities count toward the challenge?
A: Only activities logged in Waterspeed during the challenge period will count. Ensure your activities are recorded properly to contribute to your score.

Q: Can I join a challenge after the start date?
A: yes, a challenge can be joined at any time. 

Q: How many people can join a Group Challenge?
A: These Challenges currently support up to 25 participants. If you need a challenge for more participants, please reach out to support@waterspeedapp.com. 

Q: What happens if I miss a challenge invitation?
A: If the challenge is still active, you can join anytime using the invite link or challenge code.

Q: why can I not see my activities and stats updated? 
A: in case of any issue, please follow these instructions
